Bona Quantum Flow is a pourable, one-component, silane-based wood floor adhesive. Pour it along the install line, spread it with the trowel and wet-lay the flooring. It bonds solid and engineered wood flooring, prefinished or unfinished, on, above or below grade, in residential and commercial work.
Key features
- Pourable silane formula – lower viscosity than Bona Quantum R851, with a 60-minute open time (at 70°F and 50% RH).
- Moisture control – trowel-applied over concrete that tests up to 12 lbs MVER (ASTM F1869) or 85% RH (ASTM F2170). Higher readings call for Bona R540 or Bona RollGuard, or the moisture-barrier trowel method in Bona's technical data sheet.
- Sound reduction – STC 60 / IIC 67 on a 6" concrete slab with a ceiling assembly.
- Zero VOC – GREENGUARD Gold certified.
- Easy cleanup – wipe off wet adhesive with mineral spirits on a clean white cloth.
Approved subfloors
Concrete, plywood, OSB and particle board, Warmboard, cork, stone, ceramic, terrazzo, radiant-heat floors, dry above-grade gypsum underlayment and recycled-rubber underlayment.
Trowels and coverage
- Bona 1500G trowel – up to 50 sq ft per gallon
- Bona 1250G trowel – up to 60 sq ft per gallon
- Bona ¼" x ¼" V-notch trowel – up to 35 sq ft per gallon (moisture-barrier method)

Working and cure times
- Open time: 60 minutes at 70°F and 50% RH (shorter in higher humidity)
- Light foot traffic: 8–10 hours
- Furniture and fixtures: 12–24 hours
- Sanding unfinished floors: after 24 hours
- Job-site conditions: 65–80°F, maximum 70% RH
