Loba UV-Protect is an additive for Loba water-based finishes. Mixed into the finish, it reduces the darkening and yellowing that sunlight causes in light-colored woods such as maple, birch, ash and spruce.

How to use
- Shake the bottle well.
- Add it to the finish right before application and shake or stir thoroughly.
- With 2K finishes, add the hardener first, then UV-Protect.
- Maximum addition is 2%. Loba's data sheet gives one 100 ml bottle per 5 liters (about 1.3 US gallons) of finish.
- Apply a 1K finish containing UV-Protect within 24 hours. A 2K finish keeps its normal pot life.
- Do not thin it or add water, and do not apply below 55°F.
Good to know
UV-Protect cannot stop dark wood species from lightening in sunlight. It is intended for professional use.
