WAKOL MS 246 StarMonti is a one-component MS polymer mounting adhesive in a 20 fl oz foil sausage. It is a non-sag, high-grab adhesive for fixing baseboards made of wood or plastic, wood-based materials and metals to absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces, indoors and outdoors.

Where to use it
- Substrates: concrete, wood (OSB, plywood, particle board, planks), gypsum, terrazzo and ceramic tile, above, on or below grade.
- Subfloor moisture must not exceed 3 lbs per 1,000 sq ft per 24 hours (ASTM F1869) or 80% RH (ASTM F2170).
- If a moisture barrier is needed first, Wakol allows only WAKOL PU 280 or WAKOL MS 330.
- Not for subfloors with excessive moisture or hydrostatic pressure.
How to use
Load the sausage in a sausage gun such as the Applicator 35. Apply an even bead, set the piece into the adhesive right away and press it down firmly. Aim for at least 90% adhesive transfer. Clean up with WAKOL RT 5960 Cleaning Towels or mineral spirits before the adhesive cures.
Working and cure times
- Open time: about 5–10 minutes, depending on humidity
- Cure: 24 hours (up to 3.5 mm of bead thickness per 24 hours)
