Bona R820 is a one-component, silane-based wood flooring adhesive made for engineered flooring. It is a wet-lay adhesive with a long open time, zero VOC and GREENGUARD certification.
Where it fits
- Engineered wood flooring, prefinished or unfinished, up to 10" wide and ⅝" thick.
- On, above or below grade, in residential and commercial installs.
- For solid wood, or engineered boards wider or thicker than that, Bona points to Bona Quantum R851.
Key features
- Long open time – up to 90 minutes at 70°F and 50% RH.
- Moisture tolerance – up to 6 lbs MVER or 80% RH with the Bona 1000F or EF trowel. Above that, and up to 18 lbs or 95% RH, add Bona R540 or Bona RollGuard.
- Sound reduction – 60 STC / 67 IIC on a 6" concrete slab with a ceiling assembly.
- Zero VOC – GREENGUARD certified.
- Easy cleanup – mineral spirits on a clean white cloth while the adhesive is wet.
Approved subfloors
Concrete, plywood, OSB and particle board, Warmboard, cork, stone, ceramic, terrazzo, radiant-heat floors, dry above-grade gypsum underlayment and recycled-rubber underlayment.
Not for wet or contaminated surfaces, curing compounds, hydrostatic conditions, cutback adhesive residue, vinyl or VCT, chemically treated wood, or use as a leveler.
