Flush Mounted Wood Floor Register

This flush mount wood floor register is designed for installation into hardwood flooring and includes both the frame and removable insert. The listed size (4x10, 4x12, etc.) refers to the floor opening/duct opening size, not the outside dimensions of the frame or insert.

Installation requires routing or cutting the flooring to accept the supplied frame. The frame is intentionally larger than the listed size so it can support the insert and cover the edges of the floor opening. This product is designed to be installed as a complete frame-and-insert assembly and is not intended to be used as a replacement insert for an existing register frame.

Manufacturers register insert and frame sizes are all different and not compatible.

Sold me a 5x10.5 inch (internal size) flush mount vent advertised as 4x10. Owner wouldn't admit it was incorrect and wouldn't get back to me to discuss options and resolution for return. I had to reach out multiple times as they don't have a clear return policy link at the bottom of their website. He even told me it was the "industry standard" for the vent to be thiat size to fit in a 4x10 opening. You can't fit a larger vent into a smaller hole. It makes no sense. I even sent pictures to show him that they either sent me the wrong item or they advertised it incorrectly. His return/reesolution was for me to pay shipping and restocking fee. Instead I kept it so that I could compare it to correctly advertised one I purchased on Amazon for cheaper. I guess he's wrong about the "industry standard". I sent him a picture of them side by side so maybe he can correct his misconception for his future customers. This is why Amazon puts mom and pops out of business. You can't be successful if you can't work with your customers, especially when you are WRONG!

Our flush mount registers include both a frame and insert and are designed to be installed as a complete assembly. The frame is intentionally larger than the floor opening so it can support the insert and cover the edges of the cutout. If the frame measured exactly 4x10 on the outside, it would not be able to perform this function.

The product description explains that installation requires cutting the floor and installing the supplied frame and insert together. Based on our correspondence, there appears to have been a misunderstanding regarding how flush mount registers are measured and installed.
